Risk and Compliance Manager

The selected candidate will coordinate the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures established that regulate the company. The Risk and Compliance Manager apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for various departments. They will interact with external auditors on matters related to audits of the organization’s internal controls, and assess potential fraud activity, plus develop fraud detection tools.

Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Conducting internal reviews and audits and report finding and recommendations.
  • Responsible for Inventory control and will schedule inventory counts throughout the year.
  • Following up on compliance issues that require investigation.
  • Execute review of payables, receivables, sales process, Human resources to ensure compliance with established procedures and report deviations.
  • Conduct IT audits to evaluate information security and cyber risk.
  • Assess compliance with Data Protection Act.
  • Advising internal management and business partners on the implementation of compliance programs.
  • Review existing policies and procedures and update or make amendments where required.
  • Conducting environmental audits to ensure the company meets environmental requirements.
  • Developing risk management strategies and fraud detection tools.
  • Conducting compliance risk assessment training workshops.
  • Evaluating compliance systems and ensuring adequate software is in plac 

Qualification & Skills

  • ACCA or A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related area discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in internal or external audit at a senior level.
  • Experience in auditing or managing inventory.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
  • An analytical mind is also a must, and the ability to manage and prioritize work.
  • Strong Leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and sound decision making skill.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating activities
  • Solid background in statistical, analytical and organizational skills.
