Montego Bay: Cashier

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and providing exceptional service. The individual should be detail-oriented, honest, solution-oriented, courteous with excellent numeric/accounting skills.


Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Welcome customers with a warm greeting to enhance their shopping experience
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system
  • Accurately account for Cash, cheques, wire transfers, credit and debit card transactions
  • Careful count cash and provide correct change
  • Ensure the company’ cheque acceptance and cash management policy is applied
  • Keep secure all cash and documents
  • Maintain record of all transactions and reconcile at the close of business

 

Qualification/Experience/ Required skills:

  • Minimum five (5) CSEC subjects inclusive of Principles of Accounts, Mathematics and English Language
  • At least three years experience in a Cashier role
  • Working knowledge of an Accounting Software, POS, Microsoft Excel & Word skills are highly desirable
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and pay strong attention to details
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Highly confidential and can work well with others
