Montego Bay: Customer Care Associate

Active Home Centre, Jamaica’s leading retailer for home enhancement products with showrooms in Kingston & Montego Bay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join our team as:

CUSTOMER CARE ASSOCIATE – MONTEGO BAY

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality customer relationship services and administrative support for the Retail Sales Department. This includes assisting the Management team in carrying out the day to day Customer Service functions.

Other duties/responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain and monitor “to be collected” file; daily make telephone calls to customers who have past “seven days” collection to confirm pick up date. Coordinate with warehouse when clients are coming to collect to ensure items are picked and ready.
  • Arrange and schedule invoices for next day pick-up.
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the customer service processes in accordance with overall company standard of operations, policies and procedures; ensuring those activities are aligned with the company’s business strategy and goal
    • Greet customers
    • Respond to complaints and other problems in relation to customer service.
    • Tours the sales floor regularly, interact with colleagues and customers, to identify or resolve issues arises;
    • Handles face to face, telephone and online customer enquiries
  • Handles complaints related to products and conduct investigations to ascertain primary issue (application or factory fault), record appropriate information in customer complaint log. Keep the Management team abreast of complaints especially those not yet resolved.

Qualification & Skills

  • Associates Degree/Diploma in Business Studies/Management or Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail environment, related experience as a Customer Service is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dynamic and persuasive personality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer knowledge particularly Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and ability to learn Active Home Ltd.’s business system
  • Works well under pressure, flexible and cooperative
