Montego Bay: Retail Store Coordinator/ Relief Cashier

 Active Home Centre, Jamaica’s leading retailer for home enhancement products with showrooms in Kingston & Montego Bay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join our team as:

RETAIL STORE COORDINATOR/ RELIEF CASHIER – MONTEGO BAY

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the management team in the achievement of sales targets by supporting sales representatives, coordinating sales activities, ensuring order satisfaction, coordinating with other departments, motivating staff, handling administrative duties, and promoting customer satisfaction.

Other duties/responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Timely Process sales orders by reviewing the orders, verifying the accuracy, correct prices, discounts and product details while reducing the turnaround time, ensuring acceptable standards according to expectations. Process credit notes as needed.
  • Support daily sales team and planned activities to meet monthly sales target set by sales management
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, purchasing queries and deliveries are handled efficiently
  • Performs functions of Relief Cashier during periods deemed to be necessary.
  • Assist with management of merchandising for Level 1&2 Products
  1. Monitor stock level to identify items not displayed which is in stock then notify Retail Store Manager to arrange for immediate product display by Merchandiser.
  2. Products on display are maintained – tagged appropriately, neat clean and accurate
  3.  Ensures that all items on display are accurately labeled.

Qualification & Skills

  • Associate Degree/Diploma in Business or Accounting or minimum 3 years related experience in a similar position or
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail environment
  • Experience in Retail Sales and Interior Design/Decoration is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, sales and customer service skills
  • Good team development and leadership skills
  • Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations
