Telesales Representative
Active Home Centre, Jamaica’s leading retailer for home enhancement products with
showrooms in Kingston & Montego Bay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join our team as telesales representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales for the company by closing sales deals over the phone and maintaining good customer relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about products or promotions.
- Answer questions about products or the company.
- Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
- Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed.
- Enter and update customer information in the database.
- Take and process orders in an accurate manner.
- Handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation.
- Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information.
Qualification & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or minimum 3 years related experience in a
similar position.
- Proven experience as telesales representative or other sales/customer service role.
- Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone.
- Knowledge of Point-of-sale system and Microsoft Office Suite and telephone systems.
- Ability to learn about products and describe/explain them to prospects.
- Vibrant, Customer service driven with a clear and pleasing voice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection.
- Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints.
- Ability to work well under pressure, responsive, flexible and cooperative.
